So a while ago, like a year or two ago, I learned about these neat "paper children" things, where people draw characters and cut them out of paper, with the intention of making it look like the character is being held by the artist. I decided to try my hand at it and made three: Smellerbee, Pestle and Spatula. (I originally wanted to make one of Longshot, but it was taking forever to finish and I didn't want to lollygag.)
Three of three! Spatula, my firebending Freedom Fighter. The idea here was that The Duke would be involved in the picture, as the pair love playing Hide and Explode...but that wound up being too troublesome.
If you want to print out your own set of these Paper Children, download this image to get it in full size. It should automatically be able to fit an 8 1/2" by 11" piece of paper with enough room to spare. However, I'm considering selling Spatula and Pestle paper children on photo lustre paper (essentially poster paper, so much nicer quality than printing paper) for a cost that I haven't yet figured out. If you're interested, let me know.
Thanks! I don't know if I'll be doing any more, at least not of AtLA characters. I might make more out of my original characters, though...I already have an idea for Broadcast. We'll see!
